NinjaTrader 8 is a professional trading platform that offers advanced charting tools and various



trading functionalities. The latest version (8.1) has a more complex installation process, so follow this guide carefully to set it up step by step.

Downloading and Creating a NinjaTrader 8 Account

Go to the official NinjaTrader website and create an account.
Do not sign up using Google or Apple accounts; use an email address instead.
After signing up, check your email for a verification request and click Confirm Email Address to verify
Create a username and password, then click the Create User button.
If you have previously used a free data trial on NinjaTrader’s website, use a new email address to sign up.
Do not click on the Open Account button, as this is for U.S. residents opening a brokerage account.

After registration, click Additional Options.
Select Import License Key, then enter the provided license key.
Ensure there are no spaces when entering the key.
Click Back to return to the previous screen and then click Download to get the latest version.

Run the downloaded .exe installation file to start the setup wizard.
Read and accept the license agreement, then click Next
Choose the installation path and click Install to proceed.
Once the installation is complete, click the NinjaTrader icon on your desktop to launch the program.

When launching the program for the first time, enter your username and password created during account registration.
Go to Tools > Options and enable the Multi-Provider option, then click OK.
Close and restart NinjaTrader to apply the changes.

Connecting Your Trading Account

Click Connections > Configure.
Find NinjaTrader in the list and double-click to add it
Enter your Tradovate username and password.
Click Apply > OK to save the settings.

Click Connections > Configure, then double-click Rithmic for NinjaTrader Brokerage to add it
Enter your Rithmic username and password, and select APEX in the System field.
Click Apply > OK to save the settings.

In Preferred Connections, set Historical Data and Real-Time Data for Futures to NinjaTrader.
